Nicholas has been writing songs for over 45 years, and over this time has recorded many of these, although in the past, often on rather primitive recording equipment.

The Band of Ghosts Project is a re-recording of some of these songs in proper studio conditions, and the subsequent release of a number of albums of songs by Nicholas, all reimagined.

The Band of Ghosts are a group of musicians who wish to remain anonymous - hence the name - who have formed a band with Nicholas, to reimagine some of his songs and re-record them in new alternative versions. They are performed with another singer - Alice D. - which gives a fresh feel to them, and Nicholas plays bass guitar with the Ghosts, as well as occasional acoustic and electric guitars, and other instruments.

The first album is the self-titled ‘Band of Ghosts’ album, and another album - ‘Red’  - will be released later in 2026. The band are currently working on material for their third album.
